Position Overview:
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer at Quantum Technology Group, you will be a member of the Leadership team playing a crucial role in growing our ServiceNow Federal Government and State and Local Government practices. Leveraging your extensive technical expertise, you will work collaboratively with both QTG and our ServiceNow partners’ cross-functional teams of Architects, Developers, and Business Analysts to deliver high-quality ServiceNow solutions. You will lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions to government agencies. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of ServiceNow capabilities, and extensive experience with architecting, implementing, and maintaining the ServiceNow system and instances of ITSM, CSM, and FSM.
Location: Charlotte, NC is the preferred location for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design and architect ServiceNow solutions that align with business needs and adhere to best practices.
- Development: Develop, customize, and extend ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using JavaScript, GlideScript, and other scripting languages.
- Integration: Integrate ServiceNow with external systems, applications, and third-party tools using REST and SOAP web services, MID Server, and other integration methods.
- Customization: Customize the ServiceNow platform to meet specific business requirements, including configuring UI policies, business rules, client scripts, and workflows.
- Automation: Implement automation solutions within ServiceNow to improve operational efficiency and streamline IT processes.
- Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ServiceNow instances. Perform regular upgrades and apply patches as needed.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, process flows, and user guides.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, administrators, and other developers, to deliver high-quality ServiceNow solutions.
- Training and Mentoring: Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies.
- Platform Governance: Define the governance that includes policies, processes, and guidelines for development on the ServiceNow platform. Define roles and responsibilities for QTG and partner and agency Architects, Developers, Business Analysts and agency stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience, with progressively higher levels of responsibility, in ServiceNow architecting, developing and implementing a variety of ServiceNow modules: ITSM, CSM, FSM.
- Demonstrated experience in providing leadership at an organizational level, team level and client/agency level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with QTG and partners’ cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and agency users.
- The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa.
- Mentoring junior developers, guiding them in ServiceNow best practices and coding standards.
- A commitment to staying updated on the latest ServiceNow releases, features, and industry trends.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and technology landscapes, and the ability to guide the organization accordingly.
- ServiceNow administration and/or development experience in Federal government and/or State and Local government environments is a plus.
